Dr. Paul Richard Isitt is a highly accomplished educator and musician with a distinguished career in both the academic and creative arts. He holds multiple of degrees, including a Ph.D, a Master's and bachelor’s degree (M.Mus. and B.Mus.) from the University of Wales, Bangor, as well as a PGCE (teaching qualification) with a specialty in English from Brighton University. Dr. Isitt also has a strong foundation in Electroacoustic Composition, a field in which he has excelled and earned his doctoral degree.

With extensive experience in teaching, Dr. Isitt has held various academic positions, including posts as a lecturer at the University of Lincoln, the University of Wales, Bangor, and as Head of Music Technology at Universiti Putra Malaysia. His teaching expertise extends beyond music; at Sussex Downs College, he taught a broad range of subjects, focused around English, literacy, English as a foreign language, and research and academic development skills, often working with students with special needs (such as autism and dyslexia), and overseas students.

In addition to his academic career, Dr. Isitt is also a professional composer, writing music for media broadcasts, including numerous television programmes. His compositions are published with two major international TV and film publishing companies, reflecting his success and recognition in the field.

Dr. Isitt's innovative approach to education is evident in his use of technology in the classroom. For his PGCE dissertation he conducted research on how developments in computer software can engage students in English language learning. Other research, within music academia includes: The Conventional Musical Elements and how they relate to Electroacoustic Music, and The Application of CAL Programing to Develop MIDI Composition Tools.  His research continues to make a positive impact within his teaching methodology in both the academic and creative communities, blending his expertise with a thoughtful, student-centered approach
